About the position

Broward College is seeking a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor in Nursing to join its North Campus. The role focuses on teaching, student engagement, and curriculum development while fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to the educational success of a diverse student body and will utilize innovative teaching methods to support students from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses and facilitate student learning.
• Provide student consultation and support.
• Prepare course outlines and syllabi.
• Process grades within deadlines.
• Participate in college-wide and discipline area committees.
• Engage in curriculum development and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in campus governance.
• Incorporate technology into teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
• Provide prompt and supportive feedback to students.
• Engage in professional development and attend relevant conferences.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Current unrestricted State of Florida License as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
• High level of digital literacy and commitment to teaching.
• Understanding of the racial, socioeconomic, academic, and cultural diversity within the community college student population.
