About the position

The University of Kentucky's School of Architecture is seeking an Assistant Professor for a full-time, tenure-track position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching architecture studios and core curriculum courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This role includes the opportunity to develop a research program supported by start-up resources, with an emphasis on integrated building design technology and digital fabrication. The position also involves service to the school, college, university, and community, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two architecture studios at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Deliver a required lecture course in the core curriculum or a seminar/elective related to the candidate's expertise.
  • Develop and launch a research program that produces scholarly or creative output.
  • Engage in service to the school, college, university, profession, and community.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and faculty collaborations.

Requirements

  • Professional and terminal degree in Architecture.
  • Professional work experience in architecture.
  • Teaching experience at the university level.
  • Research/practice agenda focused on integrated building design technology and/or digital fabrication.
  • NCARB or equivalent architectural registration (preferred).
