About the position

The University of Colorado Denver is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Architecture to join its Department of Architecture. This position focuses on teaching, research, and service, with an emphasis on engaging diverse perspectives in architectural design and education. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's mission of fostering an inclusive environment and will be expected to teach undergraduate students while developing innovative research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in architecture, including foundational and advanced design studios, large lecture courses, and seminars.
  • Engage in research and creative work that contributes to the field of architecture and the department's strategic vision.
  • Participate in departmental service activities, including curriculum development and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in architecture or a related field (or international equivalent).
  • Evidence of foundational and advanced design studio teaching and lecture/seminar courses in the area of expertise.
  • Evidence of research and/or creative work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional license in architecture.
  • Ph.D. in architecture or a related field.
