About the position
The University of Cincinnati's Department of Biological Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor - Educator to teach Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) I and II. This role involves coordinating the course, supervising lab activities, and engaging in departmental service activities. The position emphasizes inclusive teaching and aims to enhance student success through effective pedagogical techniques.
Responsibilities
- Instruct large enrollment A&P lecture sections, typically two sections of A&P I in the Fall and two sections of A&P II in Spring Semester.
- Coordinate the course overall and supervise the lab coordinator to ensure alignment of lecture and laboratory content.
- Supervise undergraduate Learning Assistants and Supplemental Instructor students assigned to assist with the lecture sections.
- Engage in additional service activities as assigned by the Department Head, such as serving on the Research Advisory Committee for graduate students and on a departmental committee focused on undergraduate education.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biology or a related area.
- One academic year of teaching experience in college-level Anatomy & Physiology.
