About the position
The University of Cincinnati's Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Neuroscience. This role focuses on developing a research program in computational neuroscience, teaching courses related to neuroscience and computational biology, and supervising graduate students. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an externally funded, internationally recognized research program in computational neuroscience.
- Teach existing and/or develop new courses in neuroscience, computational biology, and/or biological statistics at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Supervise MS and PhD student workers, ensuring progress in their research and development of dissertation projects.
- Participate in relevant service to the department, college, university, and profession, including serving on committees and contributing to the development of novel biology-related programs.
Requirements
- PhD in Biology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field prior to the effective date of appointment.
- One year of postdoctoral or other professional research experience following PhD completion.
