The County of San Diego's Department of Purchasing and Contracting (DPC) is seeking motivated individuals to join their award-winning Purchasing Department. DPC is responsible for purchasing all goods, materials, and services for the County, ensuring competitive processes for the best price and highest quality while adhering to regulations and emphasizing customer service. This role offers a hybrid teleworking plan. Assistant Procurement Specialists purchase supplies, services, food, and equipment, obtaining them through competitive procurement processes like advertised requests for bids and quotations, or by negotiating and awarding non-competitive procurements. Under supervision, incumbents will learn to perform increasingly responsible purchasing duties.
