About the position

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the store manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and managing inventory. This position emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and customer service, ensuring that guests receive outstanding service while maintaining store standards and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with overseeing daily store operations.
• Supervise employees and manage inventories.
• Train, develop, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrate leadership and promote a teamwork environment.
• Implement new product lines and create strategies to promote them.
• Promote the store to guests and community members.
• Maintain safety and security of the store, documenting incidents.
• Ensure outstanding guest service by providing a friendly environment.
• Maintain appropriate merchandise stock levels and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through regular meetings and audits.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems and POS registers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and guests.
• Ability to read, count, and write to complete documentation accurately.
• Ability to access all areas of the store including selling floor and stock area.
• Ability to operate necessary equipment to run the store.
• Ability to climb ladders and handle merchandise weighing 0-50 pounds.
• Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
