About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising day-to-day retail operations, maintaining product quality, and focusing on company engagement and sales growth. This role involves managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding company standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
ServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire or promotion
Retail experience

Responsibilities

Insures accurate and timely timecard management for both self and staff.
Upholds dress code standards for both self and staff.
Use company tools and processes to document performance of staff.
Models integrity to staff and treat others with respect.
Signs customers up for the cake club and explains the benefits.
Assists the store manager with creating weekly/monthly schedules.
Complete all assigned duties within the given deadline.
Resolves customer issues quickly and delivers appropriate solutions to make customers happy.
Manages retail inventory variance as well as timely inventory completion.
Responsible for cash variance for both sales and petty cash.
Utilizes FIFO guidelines and reduces waste.
Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.
Use operational tools to ensure completion of opening and closing duties.
Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
Follows appropriate slicing guidelines.
Provides meaningful feedback for the DM with suggestions for improvement.
Engages in monthly promotional goals.
Completes all required employee training.
Ask questions if something is unclear and seeks out opportunities to learn.
Assists with coaching employees on sales techniques to help increase sales for both bakery and retail products.
Ensure employees adhere to sales initiatives.
