About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising day-to-day retail operations, maintaining product quality, and focusing on company engagement and sales growth. This role involves managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire or promotion
  • Retail experience

Responsibilities

  • Insures accurate and timely timecard management for both self and staff.
  • Upholds dress code standards for both self and staff.
  • Use company tools and processes to document performance of staff.
  • Models integrity to staff and treat others with respect.
  • Signs customers up for the cake club and explains the benefits.
  • Assists the store manager with creating weekly/monthly schedules.
  • Complete all assigned duties within the given deadline.
  • Resolves customer issues quickly and delivers appropriate solutions to make customers happy.
  • Manages retail inventory variance as well as timely inventory completion.
  • Responsible for cash variance for both sales and petty cash.
  • Utilizes FIFO guidelines and reduces waste.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.
  • Use operational tools to ensure completion of opening and closing duties.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Follows appropriate slicing guidelines.
  • Provides meaningful feedback for the DM with suggestions for improvement.
  • Engages in monthly promotional goals.
  • Completes all required employee training.
  • Ask questions if something is unclear and seeks out opportunities to learn.
  • Assists with coaching employees on sales techniques to help increase sales for both bakery and retail products.
  • Ensure employees adhere to sales initiatives.
