About the position

The Assistant Manager position at Cato is a part-time role focused on supporting the daily operations of a retail store. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional customer service, drive sales, and maintain store standards while working closely with the Store Manager and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining store standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct interviews for potential new hires and assist in the onboarding process.
• Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and inventory tracking.
• Monitor sales performance and assist in developing strategies to achieve sales goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that enhances the shopping experience.
