About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Liberated Brands plays a crucial role in leading and directing the store team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves managing store procedures, motivating team members to achieve sales goals, and upholding company policies while fostering a positive work environment. The Assistant Store Manager also assists in recruiting, training, and developing staff, contributing to a culture of product knowledge and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to team members
  • Manage store opening/closing procedures and maintain store security
  • Assist in guiding, directing, and motivating team members
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when needed
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training of team members
  • Build a product-knowledge driven sales culture
  • Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Ensure manager directives are executed properly
  • Coach and train retail associates as needed
  • Complete and delegate tasks assigned by the retail manager
  • Coordinate daily activities with the team
  • Receive shipment, process transfers, and markdowns
  • Responsible for product counts and inventory monitoring
  • Complete price and promotion changes and signage
  • Participate in analysis of inventory and sales reports
  • Assist with banking, cash handling, and depositing funds
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Represent the brand with product knowledge
  • Promote a fun, organized, efficient environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a retail/apparel setting, including 1+ years as an Assistant Manager
  • 1+ years' visual merchandising experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the brand and action sports industry
  • Interpersonal, customer service, and basic math & reporting skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong ethical behavior
  • Strong computer and POS system experience
  • Strong sales knowledge and ability to train

Nice-to-haves

  • Visual merchandising experience
  • Familiarity with action sports industry
