About the position
As a maintenance professional with AltaPointe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert maintenance and repair services for our facility, encompassing both routine tasks and urgent repairs. By utilizing your technical expertise and attention to detail, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and the overall well-being of our consumers.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance in Outpatient Programs, Group Homes, Administration buildings, and Hospitals as assigned.
- Perform electrical repairs, paint, and replace broken glass in the building such as windows or doors.
- Perform carpentry work such as sheetrock repair and other skillful tasks.
- Maintain air conditioners, heating, and plumbing equipment.
- Perform other maintenance assignments as necessary.
- Properly inspect, service, and/or repair all equipment used during maintenance.
- Advise Facility Manager of needed repairs.
- Seek supervision daily and actively work to enhance skills.
- Accept and employ suggestions for improvement.
- Treat consumers with dignity and respect and respect their privacy and confidentiality.
- Be pleasant and cooperative with others and actively participate in Performance Improvement activities.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and work cooperatively with other AltaPointe employees.
- Follow AltaPointe policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in the maintenance field.
- Valid Alabama driver license with a good driving record.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and electrical test equipment such as volt-ohm meters.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
