The Assistant General Manager at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a culture that reflects company values, and overseeing employee performance and development. This role includes financial management, food safety compliance, guest service enhancement, and personnel training, all aimed at optimizing profits and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to company standards and service levels to increase sales.
  • Complete financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately and on time.
  • Establish and enforce sanitation standards and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and service, maintaining a professional restaurant image.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and control costs of goods, supervising portion control to minimize waste.
  • Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries of food and supplies.
  • Ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Manage shifts, including daily decision-making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Ensure all employees complete training and communicate job expectations effectively.
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations.
  • Prepare schedules and ensure the restaurant is fully staffed for all shifts.
  • Develop Crewmembers into Shift Leaders and Shift Leaders into Assistant Managers.
  • Maintain compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Perform loss prevention audits to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Keep the Restaurant General Manager informed of all significant issues and take corrective action as necessary.

Requirements

  • ServSafe certification is required.
  • Mid-level assistant manager experience in a restaurant setting is necessary.
  • Proven restaurant experience with a focus on operations and guest service.
