About the position

The Assistant General Manager will oversee the operations of a long-established upscale Italian restaurant group, ensuring high-quality standards and effective team management. This role involves managing staff, maintaining operational excellence, and adhering to company policies while fostering a positive work environment. The position offers excellent training and growth opportunities within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all employees to maintain high quality standards consistent with the brand, including hiring, development, counseling, promotion, and discipline.
  • Developing team members and ensuring optimal staffing and training in all job aspects.
  • Adhering to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Enforcing safety and sanitary practices, maintenance, and regulatory compliance for the restaurant and premises.
  • Overseeing all restaurant administrative requirements, including cash handling and compliance reports.
  • Ensuring that all operational basics and standards are adhered to with total commitment.
  • Demonstrating high ethical standards at all times, adhering to the Company's Code of Ethics policy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior restaurant management experience in high volume ($6M+) casual or upscale/fine dining required.
  • Exceptional people and development skills with a proven track record in attracting, assessing, developing, coaching, and managing talent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate to associates across all levels of the organization.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Stable job history.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
