About the position

The Assistant General Counsel - Enforcement will be a key member of Intuit's enterprise compliance and enforcement team, responsible for analyzing enforcement actions and enhancing compliance programs in response to investigations. This role involves collaboration with legal and business partners to ensure effective risk management and compliance across all Intuit products and services. The position requires a strong background in government investigations and enforcement, with a focus on developing strategies for managing enforcement actions and conducting internal investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating relevant enforcement actions and assessing potential impact across all Intuit business units
  • Enhancing compliance programs in response to investigations and enforcement actions in close partnership with other legal and business partners
  • Driving responses to investigation matters and inquiries involving regulators and other government entities
  • Developing all aspects of strategy for managing and resolving enforcement actions
  • Conducting internal investigations and fact development related to enforcement compliance
  • Supervising outside counsel and consultants, managing budgets and supporting reporting
  • Drafting policies and internal procedures, and conducting training to educate business partners

Requirements

  • JD in good standing with at least one US State Bar
  • 7+ combined years of experience in enforcement and investigations with a top-tier law firm, in-house legal department, and/or government office
  • A good enforcement and compliance mindset with attention to detail
  • A good business partner's mindset with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
  • Curious and continuous learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Team-player with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to independently manage significant case loads and cross-company projects
  • Very organized with a focus on prioritizing critical work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various business professionals
  • Integrity and accountability in work
  • Experience providing legal support on a global scale
  • Ability to produce clear and succinct written legal analysis and business communications

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a government office such as U.S. Attorney's office or state Attorney General's office
