About the position

The Assistant Football Coach will support the head coach in training and mentoring student-athletes, focusing on their development both on and off the field. This role is essential for fostering a positive team environment and educating players about football techniques, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions, drills, and game strategies.
• Provide instruction on football techniques, rules, and sportsmanship to enhance player performance.
• Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to improve skills and teamwork.
• Foster a positive team culture that encourages respect, discipline, and hard work.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop training programs tailored to individual players' needs.
• Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and player development.
• Attend all scheduled games, practices, and coaching meetings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sports coaching or a related field is preferred; experience working with students is highly valued.
• Knowledge of football strategies, techniques, and rules is essential.
• Skills in childcare or experience in youth sports programs are beneficial.
• A strong ability to educate young athletes about the importance of physical fitness and teamwork is crucial.

• Additional skills such as Judo, swimming, climbing, Karate, or lifeguarding can enhance coaching effectiveness.
