About the position

The Assistant Director of Recruitment at the University of Arkansas is responsible for developing and managing a pool of prospective students in Northwest Arkansas. This role involves creating strategic partnerships with educational constituents and implementing effective recruitment strategies to enhance diversity and reflect the college-bound population. The position requires strong communication skills, frequent travel, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a pool of prospective students in Northwest Arkansas.
  • Create strategic partnerships with counselors, principals, and other educational constituents.
  • Plan and implement effective recruitment strategies based on market research and trend analysis.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts for specific populations, including homeschool, concurrent, and military-affiliated students.
  • Give presentations and interact with large groups of prospective students.
  • Monitor progress towards recruitment goals and adjust strategies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least two years of experience in higher education admissions or recruitment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the University of Arkansas.
