Assistant Dean
About The Position
Reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for general oversight of outreach and student recruitment, and related activities. Develops and executes a marketing plan for the college; coordinates all student recruitment activities and protocols for the college; develops strong relationships with principals, teachers and counselors across the region; identifies potential students and develops strategies to recruit them; plans and meets enrollment goals; works collaboratively with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in recruitment activities; prepares documentation and reports for internal and external use; ensures compliance with established university policies; and other duties as assigned. With a background in the natural sciences, works in partnership with the Medical Professions Advisement group. Is expected to teach general education level courses in an area of the natural sciences.
Requirements
- Masters degree in a field appropriate for teaching undergraduate classes within the College of Arts and Sciences
- Experience in teaching and advising students at the college level
- Two years working in higher education
- Demonstrated commitment and contribution to fostering and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.

- Doctoral degree strongly preferred.
