About the position

The Assistant Compensation and Benefits Manager at Stanley Steemer will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, administration, and evaluation of the company's Health & Welfare and Retirement Benefit Programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal requirements, managing the benefits administration processes, and assisting in the development of employee compensation programs. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance the overall benefits offerings of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall plan design, implementation, administration, and evaluation of Health & Welfare and Retirement Benefit Programs.
  • Manage the processes used to effectively administer the company Benefits Program within policy guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements of various Benefit Programs and prepare required legal reports.
  • Support the development and administration of various employee compensation programs.
  • Supervise the HR Benefits team and manage the Benefits administration system and Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Oversee the Health & Welfare Benefits Annual Open Enrollment process and create necessary communications.
  • Audit employee hours to determine benefit eligibility and communicate results to HR and management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding benefit issues and compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in benefits administration and data analysis skills.
  • Mid-level experience in call center management.
  • Understanding of self-funded and insured plans, plan design, and administration.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues with providers, insurers, and employees.
  • Strong presentation and employee benefits orientation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Benefits administration systems and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of COBRA administration and compliance processes.
