About the position

The Assistant Center Manager at U-Haul is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, particularly in the absence of the General Manager. This role involves managing a team to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency while also participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily operations of the center in the General Manager's absence.
  • Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
  • Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Leadership experience in any form.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts.
