About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager I at Bristol County Savings Bank is responsible for overseeing branch operations, ensuring high levels of customer service, and managing staff. This role involves meeting financial objectives, training employees, and maintaining compliance with bank policies. The position requires a blend of supervisory skills and customer service expertise to enhance operational efficiencies and support the bank's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform supervisory and customer sales and service functions to ensure effective branch operations.
  • Meet or exceed financial objectives pertaining to individual and branch team goals.
  • Engage with customers to establish new relationships and deepen existing ones, providing high customer service standards.
  • Open personal and business accounts, handling complex inquiries and problems.
  • Research and analyze data to resolve customer issues.
  • Manage a Personal Banker Portfolio and perform teller duties as needed.
  • Act as manager in the absence of the Branch Manager, overseeing a small staff.
  • Train staff and assist in daily sales and operations, including coaching and scheduling.
  • Ensure accuracy of internal branch records and manage quality control of new accounts.
  • Take consumer loan applications and close consumer loans, ensuring compliance with policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of teller or customer service experience with supervisory ability.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Bank's products and services.
  • Ability to use various office equipment including computer terminals.
