About the position
The Assistant Boys Coach/Teacher position for the 2025-2026 school year involves working directly under the campus principal and the athletic director. The role includes coaching responsibilities in sports such as Football, Basketball, and Baseball, alongside teaching duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching boys' sports teams including Football, Basketball, and Baseball.
- Teach assigned subjects as per the Texas Teaching Certificate.
- Collaborate with the athletic director and campus principal on athletic programs.
- Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student-athlete performance.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Possible certifications in 7-12 Social Studies Composite, 4-8 History & 4-8 Generalist.
- Required Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching at the high school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
