About the position

The Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our clinical track faculty in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a team of 17 specialty-trained breast imaging radiologists. The successful candidate will be part of a practice that serves multiple hospital-based and community outpatient clinical sites in the Indianapolis metro area, focusing on breast imaging without the demands of call, nights, or weekends. Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital tomosynthesis, breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and automated whole breast ultrasound. The department is committed to excellence in patient care and education, supporting a robust residency training program and fellowship in breast imaging. The candidate may also have the occasional opportunity to engage with medical students and radiology residents, contributing to their education and training. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality breast imaging services at multiple clinical sites.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and radiology residents.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate with a team of breast imaging specialists to enhance patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in breast imaging technology and techniques.

Requirements

  • DO or MD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
  • Radiology board certified or eligible.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students and residents.
  • Fellowship training in breast imaging.
