About the position

Midland University is seeking an exceptional faculty member for a full-time applied behavior analysis/psychology position beginning August 2025. To be considered, the candidate must be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

  • Teaching a variety of undergraduate ABA and psychology courses, based on expertise and departmental need
  • Measuring and analyzing program outcomes for continuous improvement
  • Engaging students with innovative teaching practices
  • Developing and implementing curriculum based on student and profession needs
  • Partnering across the university for student recruiting, retention, and graduation
  • Creating performance and program goals with continuous reflection and a willingness to accept feedback

Requirements

  • PhD from an accredited institution in applied behavior analysis, behavior analysis, or psychology with applied behavior analysis concentration
  • Experience teaching a variety of ABA and psychology courses
  • Commitment to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students
  • The ability to create dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom by continuously seeking and applying new, relevant information and ideas
  • A genuine interest in student development as it relates to community partnerships and mentoring for internships, employment and graduate study
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
