Ruder Finn’s Technology & Innovation Practice is seeking a motivated, curious, and energetic Assistant Account Executive to join our team supporting a diverse portfolio of B2B technology clients. Our clients range from Fortune 500 enterprise leaders to fast-growing AI startups shaping the future of technology. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Internship or relevant experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field preferred
  • Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
  • Interest in technology, innovation, and business trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day client account management and serve as a reliable team contributor
  • Assist in planning and executing media relations programs, including researching reporters, drafting pitch materials, and tracking coverage
  • Develop and maintain targeted media lists across technology and business outlets
  • Assist in drafting and editing written materials such as media pitches, backgrounders, executive briefs, client communications, award submissions, bylines, and reports
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to inform strategy and identify opportunities
  • Monitor media trends and stay informed on developments in AI, enterprise technology, and related sectors
  • Help coordinate client meetings, timelines, and project deliverables
  • Maintain organized records of media outreach, coverage, and reporting

  • The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $45,000 – $53,000.
  • The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications.
