About the position

The Asset Protection Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and monitoring all asset protection, security, compliance, and safety functions within a facility. This role aims to reduce shrink, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure a safe environment for employees and customers. The coordinator will engage in training, compliance monitoring, and investigations related to asset protection and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving training and continued development for all Outfitters on shrink, safety, and security functions.
  • Cascade Asset Protection directives and initiatives to store leadership and Outfitters.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service during interactions with customers and Outfitters.
  • Identify root causes of shrink through analysis of cycle counts, trailer audits, and vendor compliance opportunities.
  • Review inventory adjustments to ensure accountability and investigate discrepancies.
  • Confirm investigations and resolutions of over/short shipments between DC and Store.
  • Encourage commitment to asset protection programs among Outfitters and vendors.
  • Drive education on merchandise protection tools and payment processes.
  • Monitor and maintain physical security and merchandise protection standards in the store.
  • Ensure a safe environment in facility property and parking areas.
  • Conduct known loss investigations and exception report reviews.
  • Assist with investigations into criminal activity and policy violations.
  • Monitor criminal cases and testify in court as needed.
  • Conduct information gathering and integrity interviews when authorized.
  • Investigate irregularities related to Firearms protocols and compliance.
  • Maintain and ensure functionality of asset protection and security systems.
  • Promote safety programs to support a safe work environment and participate in safety committees.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in security, asset protection, and safety preferred or retail inventory background.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting criminal or internal investigations.
  • Experience using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.).
  • Experience conducting quality reviews/audits.
  • Current AHA First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
