About the position

The Assembly Team Lead oversees the day-to-day operations of assembly line A, ensuring efficient production and maintaining high-quality standards. This position manages a team that may include full-time employees, clients, and/or temporary workers, providing direction, training, and support to ensure smooth operations. The Assembly Team Lead collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assembly tasks while adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who ensures documentation accuracy, supports production goals, and maintains a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and supports the Assembly Operations Team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversees assembly operations for Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and Device History Records (DHRs), ensuring documentation is completed in compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Review DHRs and MOs for accuracy, collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies, and file documentation for record retention.
  • Coordinates the scheduling and creation of MOs from Bills of Materials (BOMs) to meet production requirements.
  • Process receiving transactions related to assembly, including reversing receipts and managing sub-BOMs.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper organization, labeling, and quality of assembled products.
  • Reconcile billing and system reports (e.g., SCVRD billing vs. GP/MS-Dynamics reports) and distribute as needed.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by reviewing product labels and performing checks on inbound and assembled products.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, including temporary employees and clients, to maintain efficient workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting production issues and resolving problems that arise during assembly operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade school training preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a warehouse, production, or assembly environment.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of company software systems (e.g., GP/MS-Dynamics, MS-Excel) and production scheduling is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA compliance, ISO-13485/ISO-9001, and related quality standards is a plus.
