About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing assembly line operations to ensure continuous supply of work and materials, prevent downtime, and achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives. The supervisor will track production output, identify and resolve production issues, direct and support team members, and ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available and functional. The position also involves evaluating processes for improvement, supporting lean manufacturing initiatives, and addressing safety and quality concerns.

Requirements

Typically 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
High School Diploma or GED required
Excellent verbal communication skills
Robust conflict resolution skills
Solid computer proficiency (including ERP or MRP software and MS Office)

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or operations management preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure assembly line remains continuously supplied with work and materials to prevent downtime
Track production output and communicate progress against daily goals
Identify and resolve production delays, bottlenecks, and constraints
Direct and support assembly and team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives
Reassign and pivot team members as needed to balance work loads and maintain production workflow
Ensure all assembly stations tools, equipment, and supplies required for production
Conduct daily tool and equipment inspections to verify functionality and availability
Evaluate assembly processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and throughput
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvement projects
Investigate and address safety concerns, quality issues, and production defects
