About the position

This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

Responsibilities

  • Build devices per drawing, routing, and work instructions
  • Assemble small and large components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using torque drivers, long nose pliers, screw drivers, and soldering irons
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5S in the area
  • Cross-train new and current employees on all assembly lines
  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
  • Perform quality checks consistent with the inspection and control plans
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Able to transport and move up to 25 lbs
  • Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours)
  • Obtain L3Harris provided J-STD-001 Certification within first 90 days of employment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior assembly experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior assembly experience

  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material (BOM)
