About The Position

This role involves performing assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment, focusing on identifying part geometry, ensuring quality and conformity, and adhering to safety procedures. The assembler will be responsible for workplace organization and may be trained to perform multiple jobs in different areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous machining experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gage, and optical comparator with digital read out.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Eyesight and hearing must be correctable to standard level.

Responsibilities

  • Identify part geometry to establish location surfaces and work holding needs.
  • Follow prescribed quality procedures, including identifying all dimensions and ensuring part conformity (dimensionally, functionally, and aesthetically).
  • Follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Multitask and be open to learning multiple jobs in different areas.
  • Lead workplace organization efforts, including fixture numbering and locations.
