About The Position

The Assembler is responsible for assembling/un-assembling and testing company product. This position may specialize in particular products or processes. Additionally, this position follows all work area related processes and procedures to assemble/un-assemble units, utilizing hand tools, small power equipment, microscopes, and other special equipment/fixtures. Finally, this position is required to complete paperwork fully, accurately, and timely and practice good housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required.
  • One (1) year manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanics
  • Electrical wiring experience preferred
  • Good manufacturing operations knowledge and practices.
  • Computer experience required
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good Problem solving, Multi-tasking and Teamwork skills
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks while working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assemble/un-assemble a wide range of products, using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications.
  • Work cross functionally within the department – testing troubleshooting equipment
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Wire equipment
  • Utilizes the inventory management System-Kanban, cycle counting, physical inventory.
  • Performs material handling, receiving and stocking of materials and sales coordination.
  • Adheres to facility safety and health requirements; wears prescribed PPE.
  • Maintains work area, tools and/or equipment, and machines.
  • Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
