About the position

The Presales Solutions Engineer - Security at SHI is a customer-facing role focused on providing expert security solutions to clients. This position involves a consultative approach to security projects, developing and delivering new security services offerings, and engaging with various stakeholders to enhance customer relationships. The role requires a strong understanding of security technology and its application in business contexts, along with the ability to lead client engagements and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Leading client engagements and assessments including scoping, following an industry-standard methodology, and reporting findings.
  • Continuously improving penetration testing processes.
  • Delivering detailed reports and leading debriefing calls with clients to discuss vulnerabilities discovered during engagements, as well as offering remediation and mitigation options.
  • Learning company security services offerings and portfolio through self-study, partner training, and company-sponsored training.
  • Collaborating with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including CIO, CSO, CISO, Security Directors, and Security Admin, to strengthen customer relationships and understand their goals.
  • Educating sales teams on Cyber Security solution selling and key technologies through one-on-one training, team training, and company training.
  • Staying current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape.
  • Engaging in self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
  • 3+ years' experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
  • Ability to design security infrastructure including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.
  • General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are critical.
  • Possess a real passion for technology.
  • Expert technical knowledge of Security Solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or Relevant Professional certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.
