About the position

The position involves assisting with aseptic filling, lyophilization, and capping procedures in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role requires monitoring processes, reporting unusual circumstances, and ensuring compliance with USDA and APHIS requirements. The candidate will work in a clean, modern facility recognized for safety and innovation, contributing to the production of high-quality medicines for animals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with aseptic filling, lyophilization, and capping procedures.
  • Monitor processes and report unusual circumstances and events.
  • Assist with mechanical set up procedures in an aseptic environment.
  • Use scientific measuring devices to establish and verify fill volumes and check specific gravity.
  • Perform routine environmental monitoring.
  • Document processes accurately and completely in accordance with SOPs and GMPs.
  • Handle movement of sterile equipment to ensure sterility.
  • Learn and demonstrate understanding of basic sterilization principles and aseptic technique.
  • Understand and use fill schedule to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with operation of CIP/SIP systems as applicable.
  • Assist with lab cleaning practices and identify work order issues.
  • Operate fill suites and capping equipment independently.
  • Participate in cross-training within manufacturing and special project teams.
  • Perform basic repairs, maintenance, disassembly, and reassembly of major equipment.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical skills.
  • Demonstration of personal computer usage.
  • Good communication skills to read, interpret, and apply safety procedures and departmental procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations and conversions within the metric system.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram formats.
  • Ability to recognize product quality issues based on company guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
