About the position

The Aseptic Maintenance Specialist at St. Paul Beverage Solutions is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in the aseptic area, ensuring high-quality production while minimizing downtime. This role involves working closely with production teams, performing preventative maintenance, and providing training to staff. The position is a night shift role with a focus on safety, compliance, and adherence to good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Perform and assist in repair, updating, and installation of equipment.
  • Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining high quality.
  • Monitor efficiencies of aseptic area packing and processing equipment.
  • Ensure proper preventative maintenance structure is in place and being followed.
  • Initiate corrective actions and implement solutions to productivity performance issues.
  • Assist area maintenance mechanics with preventive and breakdown maintenance of filling lines and processing equipment as needed.
  • Provide individualized training to maintenance and operations staff as required.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • Able to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Able to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; able to complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
  • Able to adapt and manage to change effectively.
  • Able to perform complex or complicated maintenance activities/repairs independently.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to diagnose and take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Tetra Pak filling and packaging experience required.
