About the position
The Asbestos Project Monitor will be responsible for overseeing various asbestos-related projects throughout the NYC Metropolitan area. This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, conducting inspections, and providing technical support for abatement projects.
Responsibilities
- Handling a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments.
- Conducting regulatory compliance checks, asbestos and lead paint inspections, and remediation oversight.
- Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Performing XRF Testing and data recording.
- Providing technical support and report writing.
Requirements
- NYSDOL Certified Project Designer
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing asbestos abatement designs and managing all aspects of asbestos abatement projects.
- Experience in coordination and oversight of ACM/Regulated Building Materials Inspections.
- Strong writing skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Additional asbestos, lead, mold, and OSHA certifications.
