About The Position

This position is for an Art Teacher responsible for teaching PK and Kindergarten art classes at the ECEC. The role involves collaborating with Fine Arts colleagues to align curriculum and lessons with school and district objectives, implementing effective instructional strategies, and supporting the needs of all students. The teacher will monitor student progress, adjust instruction, plan a program of study, and create a conducive learning environment. Additionally, the role requires adherence to state statutes and school board policies, and attendance at assigned meetings.

Requirements

Must hold MA DESE license in visual art
Some teaching experience

Responsibilities

Teach PK and Kindergarten art classes at the ECEC
Work with Fine Arts colleagues to align curriculum and lessons to established school and district objectives
Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives
Work with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to support the needs of all students
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Effectively implement school and district initiatives
Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers and other members of the school community
Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations
Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors
