T-26/27 Art Teacher( Ats)
About The Position
This position is a 1.0 Art Teacher at Arlington Traditional Elementary School. The role requires the teacher to prepare art students for in-school and outside opportunities, provide effective communication among school staff, the Arts Education Supervisor, students, parents, and the community. The teacher will also work effectively with the fine arts team, manage theater productions, maintain the Visual Arts website, and provide outreach to grow the program. Additionally, the teacher must maintain safety standards and best practices in art rooms, stay current with arts-related technology, and participate in various art shows and meetings.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure
- Must be endorsed in Visual Arts
- Teaching experience in the above mentioned area
- Knowledge of best instructional practices
- Ability to integrate technology
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area
- Dual endorsed preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Responsibilities

- Attend County Wide Monthly Arts Education meetings as scheduled
