The Teaching Assistant for Art 226 Printmaking at St. Olaf College plays a crucial role in supporting the printmaking studio by assisting students with technical questions, maintaining the studio environment, and facilitating printmaking demonstrations. This part-time position is designed for students who have previously taken the course and are looking to enhance their skills while contributing to the learning experience of their peers.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with printmaking demonstrations
- Setting up the printmaking studio for classes
- Cleaning up after printmaking sessions
- Helping to keep the printmaking studio clean and stocked
- Refilling solvent bottles
- Cleaning surfaces and tools as needed
- Tidying the studio before and after class
- Answering student technical questions
Requirements
- Student has taken Art 226 previously
- Student is organized, punctual, and reliable
- Student is skilled at clear communication
- Student has the ability to work independently
