Responsibilities
- Independently plan and direct care in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Provide medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct multiple systems assessments and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Perform procedures within the scope of expertise and organizational protocols.
Requirements
- Iowa Board of Nursing Certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or a graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program.
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse License or Iowa Physician Assistant License.
- Current DEA registration and State of Iowa Controlled Substances Act registration.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Ability to function independently under general guidance.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and emotional stability in emergencies.
- Ability to learn and navigate computer systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a clinical setting as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
