About the position

The Armed Security Professional at GardaWorld Security Services is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of assigned areas through various security measures, including patrols, access control, and emergency response. Responsibilities

• Conducting regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure security.
• Monitoring access points and checking credentials to control entry to restricted areas.
• Utilizing surveillance systems to monitor activity and investigate disturbances.
• Responding promptly to emergencies and taking appropriate action to resolve situations.
• Enforcing company policies and procedures to maintain order and compliance with security protocols.
• Resolving conflicts or disputes using verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Documenting incidents and activities in detailed written reports.
• Providing assistance and support to clients, visitors, and employees.
• Proficiently handling and maintaining firearms in accordance with laws and company policies.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities.
• Collaborating with other security personnel and emergency services.
• Identifying potential security vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.
• Maintaining security equipment in good working condition.
• Adhering to relevant laws and ethical standards governing security operations.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an armed KCMO security license or certification.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or a related field is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to assess situations quickly.
• Good physical condition to perform security duties effectively.
• Strong attention to detail to observe and report suspicious activity accurately.
• Ability to interact courteously and professionally with clients and visitors.
• Proficiency in de-escalating tense situations and resolving conflicts.
• Demonstrated reliability in attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Successful completion of a thorough background check and drug screening.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
