As a Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to property management and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activity, incidents, and/or observations, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and company policy.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
