The Industrial Mechanic Certified Welder is responsible for the installation, maintenance, modification and repair of mechanical equipment associated with Reedy Creek Improvement District utilities across the Walt Disney World Resort. This field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, modify and repair equipment such as generators, compressors, pump, bailers, pipelines, conveyance systems and utility equipment
- Perform daily inspections at lift stations and utility access holes
- Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required
- Utilize additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' welding experience
- Valid Florida class D driver's license
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
