About the position
The Area Manager at Speedway LLC is responsible for overseeing 12-14 retail store locations, focusing on training employees to deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves significant operational responsibilities, including staffing, training, and managing store leaders, as well as implementing merchandising programs and controlling cash and inventory. The position offers a structured training program lasting approximately 12 months, with opportunities for career advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee 12-14 Speedway store locations.
- Train employees to provide exceptional customer service.
- Implement merchandising programs and control cash and inventory.
- Motivate and build teams to promote excellent customer service.
- Manage profit and loss, including budget planning and maximizing sales.
- Set performance goals and objectives while monitoring results with upper management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or 5+ years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial.
- Valid Driver's License from the state of residence with automotive liability insurance.
- Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated.
- Experience in staffing, training, and supervising store leaders.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.
