Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a pellet mill or similar operation.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Specialized knowledge in wood pellet production processes and industrial operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer literacy, including experience with relevant software.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
Willingness and ability to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
Willingness and ability to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
Willingness and ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
Willingness and ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
Ability to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification in a relevant field.
Experience with process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
Leadership experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Manage the pellet mill operations to ensure efficient and safe production.
Oversee daily activities, including production scheduling, quality control, and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of safety equipment.
Monitor and manage operational costs to meet budgetary goals.
Lead and develop a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain and logistics.
Implement and maintain process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
