About the position

The Architectural BIM/CAD Technician will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and architects by preparing Revit and AutoCAD drawings that adhere to company standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative designs and work within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up drawings according to company standards for title blocks, layers, fonts, and line weights.
  • Prepare conceptual site plans, aerial overlays, building plans, maps, and exhibits.
  • Prepare preliminary and final construction documents.
  • Update drawings in response to design modifications, redlines, and comments.
  • Assemble plan sets for submission to agencies in PDF and Hard Copy.
  • Conduct spell checking, cross-referencing, quality control, and revision tracking.

Requirements

  • 1 year of on-the-job experience is required, but 2+ years of experience is preferred working with an A/E design firm preparing Preliminary Design and Construction Documents.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD drafting software, with an emphasis on Revit.
  • Experience with Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator, and AutoTURN is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of all forms of MS Office software.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, balance a diverse workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Candidates that aspire to become licensed architects are a plus.
