Requirements
- Licensed / Registered Architect
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 10+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background in Hospitality projects
- Revit experience required
- Full knowledge of architectural principles/practices
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures
- Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent written + verbal communication and management skills to include leadership, organization, and client relationship management skills
- Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution who can help shape a vision for the future
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s), Technical Director(s), and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and production
- Provide creative direction to design teams
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
- Advance the understanding that design resilience is the responsibility of every person at Gensler
- Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve
