Applications Analyst

About the position

Boston Partners is seeking an Applications Analyst to join our Information Technology department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will be based in our Boston, MA office. As a global investment advisor with $110 billion in assets under management, Boston Partners is committed to providing superior client service through a disciplined investment philosophy and process. The Applications Analyst will play a crucial role in implementing new business applications and improving existing ones, working closely with various investment teams and business units to enhance performance and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new and improvement of existing business applications.
• Work with various Investment teams, Trading and other business units to design, develop and maintain solutions that will enhance performance, automate workflows and reduce errors.
• Support existing systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Five plus years of software development experience with strong analysis, design, and modeling skills. Financial services industry preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL programming along with database modeling and design, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in using C# and/or Java for back-end development.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, TFVC).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Charles River Investment Management System.
• Experience with Markit EDM Platform.
• Experience with Data Warehouse Platforms.
• Experience with front-end web frameworks like Angular/React.
• Experience with Large Language Models like GPT.
