About the position
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. The role involves developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. The successful candidate will ensure that software is developed to meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Collaboration with the development team and business partners is essential to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic Agile environment. The candidate is expected to achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications as needed and must possess excellent software design, build, test, and documentation skills. Additionally, the role requires handling multiple tasks, leading the team through delivery, and adapting to a constantly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.
- Ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team and business partners for successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in an Agile environment.
- Achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent software design, build, test, and documentation skills.
- Handle multiple tasks and lead the team through delivery while adapting to a constantly changing environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Java application programming experience.
- 3+ years of technology architecture experience.
- Proven track record in Java, J2EE-Spring 5 (MVC/Batch), JSP, jQuery, Java scripting, Angular 5, React, NodeJS, Hibernate, WebLogic, performance tuning, ETL processes.
- Experience in Windows and Linux environments with strong querying and PL/SQL experience in multiple database platforms such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience with Hadoop and Exadata.
- Proven track record in project delivery in an Agile environment.
- Experience with performance tuning and database refactoring strategies.
- Excellent organization and team skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
