About the position

The Application Programmer/Imaging Tool III at KaiHonua, LLC is responsible for designing and building applications to support government customers. This role involves working with various programming languages and tools, developing user interface features, and administering existing applications. The programmer will also contribute to the design team's efforts, maintain documentation, and ensure the applications align with organizational strategies and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and builds applications using a variety of programming languages, techniques, and tools.
  • Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements.
  • Contributes to the design team's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's offerings.
  • Administers existing Asset and Service Management applications using standard development tools and in-house developed scripts.
  • Develops and administers Microsoft Reporting Services and Crystal Reports according to management requests using AC/SM databases.
  • Administers and develops a custom Ruby on Rails based asset management website.
  • Drafts and maintains SOP documents for the functional category.
  • Develops applications to support the enterprise, including creation of data models, databases, and interfaces.
  • Plans tests, prepares test data, executes testing, identifies, analyzes, and repairs errors before implementation.
  • Prepares, updates, and distributes end-user and system operator's manuals, online help facilities, and technical manuals.
  • Provides advice on automating functions and integrating requirements with existing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT-II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Five to seven years of experience in application programming.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in coding, debugging, testing, configuration, and analysis to develop or modify application programs.
  • Strong understanding of programming technologies, particularly C# and JavaScript.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Remedy ITSM and/or HP OpenView AssetCenter, HP Service Manager, and ConnectIt.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic.
