About The Position

They are looking for an Application Field Specialist to join their global team. This role involves providing sales support through troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, working within a team built on trust, respect, and openness toward other cultures, languages, and innovation. Requirements

  • College Degree and/or 5+ years of technical support with proven success record.
  • Proficient in English (written and oral).
  • 5 + years in technical application and/or chemistry formulation.
  • Worked with testing devices.
  • Microsoft Office Proficient.
  • Travel Required: US, Mexico, Canada & Europe.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 + years in coating industry is preferred.
  • Multi-cultural (global environment) is preferred.
  • Spanish is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support through troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
  • Coordinate AFS strategies to further develop ATG’s.
  • Actively participate in the development of key accounts and new business.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to the sales force.
  • Conduct training.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technical application and chemistry formulation trends.
  • Participate in external events as required.
  • Actively work to understand customer application requirements based on the knowledge of substrates, cleaning, pretreatment, application and cure, chemical make-up, color technology, and equipment set up and operation.
  • Provide system testing and audits of customer’s lines using testing equipment.
  • Conduct line trial analysis.
  • Monitor the quality and process of new product test runs.
  • Support the introduction of new products.
  • Assist in the development of new powder coating systems.
  • Provide feedback on opportunities for laboratory product and process improvement.
  • Interact with co-workers, peers, and supervisor in a constructive, productive, and cooperative manner.
  • Consider the safety and well-being of yourself and others.
  • Drive full responsibility and advice process throughout the organization.
  • Follow and live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles.
  • Follow the requirements for ISO 14001 and 9001 systems.
