High School Social Studies teachers are responsible for utilizing research-based pedagogical strategies to teach and engage diverse groups of students in grades 9-12. High School Social Studies teachers must work collaboratively with the EHS Social Studies Department and Department Head throughout the year to continually improve the experience and performance of our students. Teachers should be well-versed in the Massachusetts High School Social Studies Curriculum Frameworks, as well as Sheltered English Instruction (SEI) practices and Universal Design to ensure access to content for all students. Teachers must exercise culturally responsive practices to promote equity and respect for all students.
